Yosemite, San Fran and Monterey!

So we just got back on Tuesday from our week long roadtrip to northern Cali. First stop was Yosemite! Wow is all I can say about that place. We spent a whole day there exploring and it cetainly was not enough. That park is HUGE! And theres so much that we never got to see. When Lucas gets a bit older I wanna go back and camp and spend a little more time there. Everything was so beautiful. Just like the Grand Canyon, pictures dont do the beauty justice. Here are a few photos.

Next stop was Sacramento! We went to visit some good friends of ours from Belgium. They are now living up there! Its so nice to have our closest friends from KB being so close again! We stayed there all weekend. Saturday we went to Old town Sac and sunday we just relaxed and watched the Ravens STOMP the Steelers :) I took some picures of oldtown sac that ill put on the picture website. Unfortunatly I didnt get any picures of us and our friends! I did get this one of Lucas and the girls with my phone though.



We had a great time visiting with them, and hopefully will get to visit again soon.

We left monday and headed to Monterey but made a pit stop in San Fran! We went to the natural science museum then did a little touristy things!

Then we headed down to Monterey. Monterey is such a cute little town on the coast. We went to the aquarium which was fun because Lucas loves fish! I realized this when we were home and went to the Pittsburgh zoo.



Before the aquarium we went to see some of the seals chilling on the rocks.



We havent done any kind of traveling since we went to San Diego last summer so it was nice to get out of the central coast for a little bit. It was a wonderful trip! Im pretty sure all 3 of us are pretty sick of the car for a little while though! ;) Dont forget to check out the rest of the trip pictures on the picture website!!

7 Months

The 3rd of each month seems to always roll around so quickly. Lucas and I took a 2.5 week trip to Md last month and had a great time visiting with family. He did very well on the plane again which made me very happy! Next week were going up to northern Cali to visit some friends of ours that we met in Belgium who are now back here!

So, lets see, some things about his 7th month include..
- He says Mama!
- His crawling has gotten much faster!
- When we clap his hands together he learned to open his fingers instead of keeping them in fists.
- When he stands up on things, he lets go and can stand there for a few seconds.
- He used to be okay playing quietly by himself, but he seems to now want to be with me alllll the time! Makes it kinda hard to get anything done haha
- Hes on 3 solid meals a day with nursing in between and ive stopped feeding him at night. He still gets up, but only once or twice. Thats nice compared to the 5 or 6 times a night it was the last month!
- Even though I cant feel or see any yet, im pretty sure he has more teeth coming.
- He prefers the dog toys over his.
- He is still a cuddle bug, which I enjoy :)
- Hes getting good at walking while holding on to things like the couch or the ottoman.



I think hes starting to look like a little boy and not a baby. He's growing up wayy too fast!!

6 Months!

Ahhhh I totally meant to put this up yesterday and completely forgot! Sorry! Anyway, Lucas is offically half a year. I cant believe it! He had a pretty big month in the milestone department. I think just before he turned 5 months is when he learned how to get in the crawl posistion and start scooting. He was scooting for about 2 weeks and then at 5.5 months is when he started crawling. I couldnt believe he figured it out so quickly! Then, about a week and a half ago he started pulling him self to standing on various objects. I dont know why he thinks he needs to do all of this before he even turned 6 months! Hes going to be trouble thats for sure. Now that hes mobile he goes after everything, even Steeze :) Steeze is not so happy about that. Luckily for now, Steeze can get away because hes quicker!

Yesterday was his 6 month checkup up. He is 17 lbs 14 oz and 27.4 in. I think it was 64th percentile for weight and 87th for height. As always, she was pleased with his development and said I could start feeding him solids 3 times a day. I was only feeding him morning and evening, so I guess now Ill add in a lunch! For some reason the last month he has been sleeping the worst he ever has. Getting up 3-4 times a night is no bueno! She seems to think adding that third meal in will help, so we shall see!

Lucas and I are getting ready to fly out tommorow to head home! Im pretty excited, but sad that Tim cant come with us. Hoefully Lucas does just as good this time as he did last time with the flight :)

6 months old! Time flys!

I have no idea why the clip in the middle of him talking is black and white! Whoopsie! He has his 6 mo appointment on wed, so I will be sure to update you all on how hes doing :)

5 Months

Its hard to believe he's almost half a year old! I hate how fast time is going. But I do love watching him learn new things. He is certainly looking more mature. He is rolling and scooting all over the place. And, just yesterday, he learned how to get in the crawl stance. I havent gotten a photo yet, but I did get it on video. Ill add it into the next compilation. I have a feeling now that he has learned that he will figure out how to crawl soon. It also looks as though his two front teeth are starting to come in. He doesnt act like hes in pain so im glad its not bothering him yet. But I can for sure see 2 little white spots in front.

I think with these video compilations, I'll try to start doing them mid month and at the end. That way you dont have to wait all month to see what went on at the beginning of the month! But dont count on it, its alot of work and little mister needs alot of attention :) Ill do my best!
